We didn’t start easy. When we met, everything around us was chaos. People knew nothing but acted like they knew everything. We got through it, after everything. We have gotten through anything that hit us, so I’m not worried about anything else that might hit us.
You have the biggest heart out of anyone I’ve met. You care about people without wanting anything back, and I’m lucky I am one of them. You pay more attention to my health than I do. Any bad day disappears when I’m around you. Even if you did nothing for me, I’d still love you. It’s not what you do, it’s who you are.
You know I’m not good with words, so here are the only ones I’ve always been sure of: I LOVE YOU. I want to build a home, not a house, with you, grow old with you, and be the person you come back to every day.
How times have changed. I mean, look, you got me to write my first letter. To think it all started May 28, 2024, the day I connected with someone I never thought I’d meet, out of my shyness. Then June 1, 2025, it happened, and now the next date: August 15, 2026. Through it all, still here, Janu.
